Questions about moving from Canada to the USA
Hi, quick question.
I've got a very good chance with landing a decent job down in the states right now, and I'm currently living in Canada. I suppose that I would be getting a work visa, or something of the likes for myself, they said it would be taken care of. But now what if my girlfriend decides to come with me? Is there any way that I could take her? Or would I have to be *ghasp* married or something? Thanks for the advice, Scott

I'm sure it wouldn't be too hard to get a permanent resident card or something like that. You would be better served by talking to the people at the U.S. Consulate or Embassy in Canada or checking websites. Here's one that should help out a lot: http://uscis.gov/graphics/howdoi/legpermres.htm

Well.... if you want to marry your girlfriend. I know that Tenesessee (sp?) is where you can marry, I know that my Mother got married there. But the immigration process is quite difficult if you do not have a form of income. Good luck with moving down south, it was an experience when I lived there.
