If you are flying, you might want to confirm with her doctor that it's OK to be flying 3rd trimester. Most airlines suggest that a woman not fly in her third trimester.
Most everything in that area to do, other than sitting on the beach, involves a lot of walking around. At 7 months, she might be ok with that, but frequent breaks might be in order. Busch Gardens is nice for a day, the aquarium, the zoo. I'm sure there's some sort of sailing trip or boat trip that you could take to get out on the water for a day...

Tampa is very nice..you can go to Ybor(during the day, at night it's a party place) and the beaches are awesome. There is an aquarium...and busch gardens..I am not sure what you want to do...why did you pick Tampa?

tampa is close to orlando, has a beach and has a large airport which allows direct flights (good for her belly and cheeper for the flight from Chicago.
My wife is a doctor, so if she's ok with flying at the beginning of the third, so am I. we will just lie to the airlines if they ask

just wondering why you would choose there, rather than flying straight into orlando..lol
tampa is about and hour drive on a very good day...but usually around 2, cause they are doing constant construction and we are very overpopulated. clearwater beach is the best to go to ...and there is the dali museum and the riverwalk in st. pete, which is about 30 minutes from tampa
