Running shoe advice.
I currently own the New Balance 765. Now, the were a phenomenal shoe, and very cheap. I bought them 2 years ago when I started running. I wanted a cheap pair of shoes, because I didnt know if I'd stick with running...but I did!
Anyways, is there a newer version of these exact shoes ? I love that they are light, and have so much breathing. They are classified as a neutal shoe with a lot of cushioning, and can handle mild protonation, although I do not protonate. I am willing to look into any make...the Nikes have always looked great, but from what I hear, Nike does not make great running shoes. Im looking to spend no more then $110 US dollars. Call me immature, but I like an aesthetically pleasing shoe as well. Any advice would be great |

My bitch with running shoes has always been that after you buy & grow to love a pair, you'll never find them on the shelves again. They change models almost as often as I change underwear.
I use Asics & have found them to be great in both durability & comfort. Also, the knock on Nike's is BS. Wear what is comfortable & keeps you running. I have used Nike's over the years as well as Saucony, New Balance, Asics, Adidas, etc. I run anywhere between 2-15 miles a week pretty regularly. When I go to find a new pair of shoes, the first thing I do is pick them up & see how light they are. Once I find the lightest few in the rack, I then start trying them on. I have a high arch & the Asics seem to cater to that. Good luck! |

I picked up a pair of 766's a few months ago, and my brother has a pair of 765's. From what we can tell they are very similar shoes, the 766's just seem to be an updated model. I would suggest looking into those, so far I'm very happy with them.

I have never gone for a proper 'fitting' and have always bougth shoes by just trying them on. My running pals say I should be fitted so I know the exact type of shoe to look for.
I tried on the Nike air max moto 3 and they felt awesome. Im still hesitant to leave NB though ![]() |

Found NB 766!
I fouund the new 765's..they are the 766's, and they are amaaaazing!
What's great is that the material is water resistant, so no more soaking wet feet when i run in the bad weather. Price difference between Canada and US is crazy. I will buy them next week when I visit Chicago. I went for a fitting, and apparently I fit into the stability category, and the Nike's are for the cushioning class. I was advised to stay within my category. NB are not as aesthetically pleasing as Nike, but they feel better on me. Thanks everyone for the advice. |
