Loss of hearing in my left ear.
For the past week, i've come down with this brutal cold where I've been doing nothing but coughing. Recently it feels like my left sinus has been in a lot of pain and because of it the whole left side of my face has been all messed up. The left side of my teeth being numb, my face hurting, my temple having a headache, and my ear being almost deaf, and in a incredible amount of pain.
Has anybody had this, or know what is wrong? I am in too much pain to sleep and it is really awkward. Does anybody have any knowledge on this? I'll guess i'll stay awake hoping someone will reply quickly. |

I'm no expert, but it sounds like the worst sinus infection that there is, with infection also spreading to your ear. Sinus infections can occur as a side effect of a very bad cold or the flu.
Get to a doctor ASAP, an urgent-care clinic if nothing else is available. I'm not an expert, but it sounds like you need antibiotics if you want this to get better in a reasonable amount of time. Otherwise, it could drag on for weeks, or worse. |

I know that if you have an infection in your gums under the teeth, like at the root of a tooth then this will cause you to have some deafness in your ear (true story, i had this, bitch to get rid of it to). If this is the case then doctor or dentist is the only way to go. Having a cold or flu at the sametime may have just allowed this to present itself, but if you have otherwise always had good teeth then this is unlikely to be an explination. Seriously see a doctor, if its been a week and has just gotten worse then doesn't look like it would cure on its own.
