Check out some graveyards in Edinburgh. Skip Hollyrood, spend at least 5-6 hours in Edinburgh Castle.
Don't bother with Calton Hill. Wander around the streets. Go to the National Museum of Scotland (if you like museums) The witchery tours can be kinda cool. Rosslyn Chapel (near Edinburgh) is said to be nice, never been there myself though. Go to the National Gallery of Scotland. |
i like calton hill!
agree about wandering the streets edinburgh has lots of hidden gems, plus the city is quite small so you can walk around most of it, well at least the centre and the bits you'd like to walk around. go for a drink (or two) up and around the university and have a picnic on the meadows. go down to the new parliament building. enjoy! |
I swear, when I first saw the thread title, I thought it was something on the Titty Board...

Visit the Grassmarket and hit as many of the pubs as you like, its a short walk from Edinburgh Castle, theres plenty of activity on the weekends and lively during the week as well. You can buy a ticket on one of the city tour busses and got off and on all day to get round the city. The Mary King's close tour is neat, its a buried 15th century street also near Grassmarket on High Street. Or you could climb Arthur's seat and get a great view. Wandering around anywhere in Edinburgh will be great. I thinks its the worlds most beautiful and fascinating city.
As for Paris, the Catacombs are interesting and of course Eiffel Tower but be prepared to stand in quite a line for the tower. A river tour of the Seine is at night is lots of fun. |
thanks a ton, i am super excited i hope it goes welll
