Any Physiotherapists/Chiropodists/Podiatrists about?
I play 5 a-side football (or indoor soccer for non-UK's), twice a week and for about an hour at a time. Afterwards I seem to suffer badly from a very sore Achilles tendon in my right (and a little in my left) foot and calf.
The tendon gets very tender, and as it heals over the course of a few days I find I'm uable to bend my ankle. I've also inherited fairly 'flat feet', in that I don't overly have a pronounced arch to my foot and I know this contibutes to aggravating the tendon. So I've cut a little 'V' shape out the back of my trainers to allow the tendon to move more freely and this has helped a little. But my real question to any Physiotherapists/Chiropodists/Podiatrists or just amateur foot health enthusiasts is... Would an artificial arch support (that fit into my trainers and sat under my fallen arches) actually help or just hinder me further? And where could I get order them from if they did help/exist?

I wouldn't take a chance on this. You don't want a diagnosis on-line otherwise all doctors would do it. Get thee to a physician!
