What to sell on eBay...
I was wondering about something.
Living in Paris, i'm sure i can find some things to sell on eBay and make a bit of a profit Do you know what kind of "typical french stuff" would be a good idea? I mean... why not, no? So... prints of montmartre and paris? wine? ideas anyone?

Where are you shipping to?
Is what you plan on selling, legally allowed to be sent elsewhere? (ie wine) Is what you plan on selling not avaiable in the country which you plan on selling to. (ie, why should they buy it from you instead) Who pays customs/import/duties/taxes etc. By the time you get thru those things, whatever you are selling, might not be worth it.

I agree with mal. The arm of customs reaches far and wide and not often you can cheat them out of what you owe. You could try selling European released CD's to the americans as often they have a bonus track on them.

why don't you go to ebay and start looking at "FRENCH" related items that you have access to and see if they are indeed selling.

I have a co-worker who's father went to the Everything's a Dollar store and bascially he filled a shoe box full of crap. This was a part of an experiment to see if he could sell this stuff on eBay and low and behold....ALL of it sold. Brianna tells me that he actually made $7 and change for his effort. It will likely sell whatever it is so go for it. Once caveat -- if you have to ask yourself about the legality of the item in question -- you should probably move on. Better safe than sorry.

well.. since you live in france, it may be easy for you to get stuff about paris and such, but you'd have to worry about shipping the states. I'm not sure if shipping is much, but it may just kill the price. Overall, ebay is a good market and prices are very competitive, good luck.
