back to basics.

So I ran a mile tonight. Inclines and declines included.

Man, I forgot what it felt like.

I managed to run 3/4 of it. 1/4 I had to alternate and walk. I shall slowly work up to it though. This was the only thing that helped me get in damn good shape in the past, so, I'm gonna do what works, why bother with anything else?

I accomplished it, and that makes me proud. I shall do the same tomorrow night.

Edit: and this was not on a treadmill. I hate those things.

Good job :P Tomorrow you might feel sore in the legs, dont strain anythin too hard. Definately dont give up though, possibly do that run every OTHER day until its easy and then do it once a day. then run more each time. Be sure to stretch it though before and after, and have a couple minute cool down / warm up period too each time :P

Good job, I have started to get back into the fitness mood now that winter is starting to be done with... keep up the good work!

Go, go, go! Just remember to stretch!

You might want to consider going for more like a 1-2 mile run on a flat surface. Once that can be done easily, try the incline/declines with a shorter distance. You are more apt to cause some soreness in your shin muscles, which will keep you on the couch instead of out running...

i think you should consider going to the track, and then run two miles. just run a lap at a good pace, walk a lap. do that until you've run 8 laps (each lap is 1/4 mile). then work on building up to doing 2:1 run:walk ratio at the same pace as the 1:1. you'll be running a few miles at a time pretty quick that way.
