A completely shitty day

Yesterday was a very, very bad day for me.

To start, I found out that to I was supposed to apply for accomodation on campus in November.

Then, when I was filing in the student allowance/student loan form, which I needed my IRD (the equivalent of IRS) number, I found out sometime between when I came back from the library on saturday and tuesday morning, I had lost my bag, which contained both my wallet and cell phone.

And after all that, I still wasn't positive whether the form actually got processed since I got sent back to the front page again. Oh, and the helpline was not helpful at all, but you all knew that already.

And then I got stung by a wasp or something. In bed. I rolled over and the stinger was directly under my elbow.

***

Anyway, I'm slightly better now, at least I'm going away soon, so all I really needed to replace was my driver's license. (NZ$31.10 -- How do they sleep at night?)

***

Anyone else go have a similar experience? I'd love to feel better.

One of the last times I got stung, it was in the bed by a red wasp, I had been sounds asleep and rolled over the wrong way,.....twice on the elbow....I was hospitilized for 4 days. (Im HIGHLY allergic to insects)

does that make you feel better?

Oh, btw, is the initial searing pain normal? I've only had mosquito bites before. Thought I might be allergic or poisoned or something, but I can hardly see anything of the sting today, so I guess I'm over-reacting yet again.

I once got stung by a bee and the initial pain was very intense, and I got the shakes afterward. The spot I got stung at was invisible the next day. So I'm guessing you're pretty normal!!

hey man, that sounds like a bad day. Hope the following days find you much happier.

And yeah, I think you are fine with the bite if it went away pretty much in one day.

I know, I know. I'm much calmer now, and at least I'm still whole.

But what's really pissing me off is all the process to cancel and replacing everything, and basically having nobody's phone numbers anymore.

And the thing is, I don't even know if it was lost or stolen, I could've sworn I had it, how else did I get the key to open my door? And it's not the first time either, I've lost a pair of glasses and eyetoy, both just disappeared one day when I was positive it was still in the house.

On one of my many trips to Helsinki, Finland with the amateur theatre company my jacket with wallet dissapeared at the theatre. When we packed up it was nowhere to be found and the tour boss didn't want to wait for me to do a full search. Our host promised to look for it later. This was Saturday. I figured "later" meant Sunday, the day we'd take the ferry back home. But nope, no jacket, no wallet, I had to spend 24 hours in Helsinki, in October, without money or jacket. Luckilly, I had swedish money stacked away so I could eat on the ferry and take the bus home on Monday morning. But my ID, bus pass, student ID and bank card had to be replaced at a hefty price. And I had to dig out an ugly old jacket. A week later our lovley host called and said the jacket and wallet had been found. Geez, you must've really busted your ass looking for it. He mailed the stuff to me, and I sold one of the buspasses discounted to a friend. Who of course had quite a laugh at the stupidity of my story. And my jacket never looked the same again after being crammed into an envelope.
If the bastards just had let me look for the jacket in the first place...

I had a shitty day today to, first of all this girl who really like and wanted to ask out ignored me during lectures then left without me having a chance to talk to her (better luck tomorrow i guess). Also found out that my University still hasn't paid me the $2000 that they owe. Then got stuck on the underground after some fault on the line spent 20 minutes there. To cap it all spilt water all over myself on the train so it looked like i peed myself. Oh and i have a cold. But apart from all that i'm as happy as can be.
