Consider picking up a trackball. You won't be moving your arm at all when using it. As for something to help with the pain, I don't really know. My first thought would be to take some ibuprofeun (or however it's spelt) and not use it for a couple of days.

Examine your work area for non-ergonomic features. Make sure your body is aligned in a natural way, without bending or stretching. Take breaks every forty-five minutes. That doesn't mean stop working, just do something other than computer work for five to ten minutes. Your HR Department should know more about other options you may have.

Make sure your elbows when you use your keyboard or mouse are at a 90 degree angle and not resting on anything. Look up something on ergonomics and fix up your work place.

Try changing the height of your chair just a tiny bit up or down. Also, why not switch mouse-arm? I switched about a week ago, I'm not as fast or exact as before but it works okay. I should get a leftie or neutral mouse though!
