Filing Taxes Online: WHich site to trust?
I tried two sites today TurboTax and TaxAct. Each one gave me a different amount for my refund. TurboTax gave me significantly more. Which one should I trust? My taxes are done. I just have to confirm and file. Any advice?

As far as the different types of taxes, state taxes are not the same as local tax. For instance, there is a County wide tax Brown County here for the stadium... Hope that helps

I've used turbo tax since it was invented...did them by hand before that...I've looked at a few of the others but wasnt nearly as impressed as I am with Turbo. My taxes werent extremely complicated, married filing joint, 1 child, 1st and 2nd mortgage, few pension things etc Turbo tax leaves no stone unturned in asking you questions. I highly recommend it.

I used turbo tax as well, but no way in hell am I paying $11 bucks to get my money back. It's bullshit if you ask me. So I paid 37 cents to file my taxes. Yeah, it's a check that takes a month but it's not lke I need it before next payday or anything.

I've used Turbo tax for about 8 years now. The last 4 I've done online. I think it's great, easy to use and doesn't miss a thing. I tried to do them by hand to compare before, and I was way off, hope that helps.

i've used turbo tax but this year i filed with h&r block. no real reason for the switch though. last year i compared a couple of sites that the irs listed and they all ended up the same so i came to the conclusion that, for me, it really didn't matter all that much.

I've used www.freetaxusa.com for 3 years now. They sent my tax return in less than a week. And it's free for us poor college students (or if your just poor).
