Brand new glasses, came scratched from the store... *rant* - Tilted Forum Project Discussion Community

I went in for an eye exam last week and got some new glasses. Today when I went to pick them up, the optometrist pulled the lenses out of the box from the lab, and both were defective. One of them had a cloudy film actually in the glass, and the other had a scratch right across the center of the lens. Happily they said they were ordering new lenses immediately, and did it right there while I was in the store and they should be in on friday. Pisses me off that they came like that tho. Grrrrr....

So really what is there to rant about? They are being nice about it and are replacing them in a timely manner for you.

I needed them today, my old ones were pretty bad, as I broke them over the weekend and they're currently held together with a piece of scotch tape. So dorky. I want them before I have to go to work like this. I work with kids and I'm gonna take a bunch of shit over it.

Sounds like it's time for LASIK surgery for you!! Or contact lenses. I don't know how people wear glasses, my eyes are fine but I am always scratching my sunglasses.

I have, um, problems touching my eyes. I tried once for about 8 hours, can't do it. I choose to blame it on my long eyelashes.

Contacts take about a month to get used to. Though once you get contacts, if you lose your glasses....well let's just say you get used to them much quicker.
