Hmm, I don't know of anything specific, guess you could try asking your barber about it. They might have some magazines or books there that feature some facial hair stuff.
Otherwise, get some good scissors and a beard trimmer and go to work in front of the mirror, just be prepared to shave it all off and start over if it doesn't work out like you think. My girl told me she likes the unshaven, rough look, so keeps it easy for me

This may sound ridiculous, but I took a bungh of pictures from an image search for "beard" and Photoshopped them onto my face until I found one that looked good. The problem was that it took months to grow in so that it didn't look scraggly.

Yeah, growing a good facial hair pattern is dificult. It breaks down to three basic areas:
Side burns Chin Everywhere else If the side burns aren't complete down to the bottom of your ears, don't grow those out. Nothing looks dumber than side burns with a hole in them. Same for chin- if it's not coming in at all, then shave it and move on. Same for the everywhere else. In general, keep it cropped to where the facial hair comes in the most thick and regular. Some thoughts on a full beard- you need good coverage all around. You need to have the connection between the mustache and chin be STRONG. If it's thin or not there, do a jawline beard. Chicks dig that, believe me. NEVER grow hair on your neck. Shave it down to skin about an inch under yuor jaw on down to the base of your neck. Nobody likes seeing a lot of hair there. |
