I just got some aftershave, I heard it helps close the pores after shaving.
what I do is shower (clean face,open pores) shave, then apply aftershave. (close pores)
I have acqua di gio, and its in a bottle that you would pore the stuff out.
Im wondering how much I should pore onto my palm, and should I then just dab my palm all over my face?
I like the smell, but I know that it can be overpowering if I put too much on.
I was thinking of only putting it on if Im going out for the night in order to not smell like a bald forty something guy (my stereotypical over smelling guy)
If i dont use after shave, I splash a bunch of cold water on my face to close the pores.
any tips?

Sounds like you're using a liquid aftershave. For that very little is actually needed. Just enough so that the alcohol gets to every pore to kill the bacteria, aftershave is usually fairly strong smelling and women WILL notice. Dime size pool is just a tad too big usually, as a few drops will usually do it.

Personally I love the gell aftershaves, they sooth your skin (mine's very sensitive on the neck) better than any liquid. It also allows you to catch any spots you may have missed without the need for reapplication of shaving cream. But yeah aqua di gio is very nice smelling so is worth it.
