My life is way too busy...
Does anyone else have this problem? I can bet you do. That and coupled with a complete incapability to say "no" when it's needed. So what do you do? Make a choice? What if you really WANT to do all those things because a) some you really enjoy b) others you really HAVE to do.
My situation: I work 9 hours every day (except weekends), work-out most mornings, live in my own house so need to take care of all that shit (bills, shopping, cleaning, bla bla bla), have 2 cats (caring for them, vet trips, etc), my SO who lives with me and I always wish I had more time to spend with him, I also on top of this give lessons part-time (in 2 different subjects), have a music band, a duo, (this all implies weekly rehearsals, gigs, what have you...) and a project to start a small company, and and and...get my drift? I need some guidance...or some comforting words...lol Can you have it all? I think not, I enjoy all these things but I feel I neglect each one in turn for the other...what to do? Sometimes I feel I might explode...

Yeah, definitely prioritise. Can some of these things wait a bit? For instance, your boyfriend and cats have feelings and cannot be neglected...however, you could perhaps start that project a little later. You can't do it all at one moment, but you can over time.
Good luck! ![]() |

I find that life seems less busy if you are doing things that you love. I could be busy with my gf or school or work forever, and I wouldn't mind. I love all three to death. You can have it all. Sorry to be repeating what others have said, but yea, prioritize.
9 hours of work a day can be tedious, espically if you don't like where you work. I don't know if you like it or not, but I really like waht Jamie Fox's character in Colateral did. He had a picture of a secluded island with perfect beaches that he's look at and take 'mini-vacations'. He'd just look at the picture every time he felt over streesed. I started doing it a few weeks ago, mostly when I'm doing my weight set. I don't really like lifting weights, but I need to in order to keep in shape, so I try to seperate my mind from what I'm doing. You can do it. |

thanks for your advice guys. As I said I really do enjoy what I do, but it's still too much sometimes, a person needs to get some sleep, lol. Some of the things I can't just pass on right now, the project I mentioned is in the throes of just getting comissioned for work so if I dropped out I'd be left behind. Other stuff I just don't want to give up, I'm not getting any younger, and certain things if you leave them then it's not likely you'll come back to them with a chance of making it a career. So yes, it's all my own fault and I should just deal with it. Thanks for listening to my little rant anyway...cheers
