Best time of year to go to Six Flags?
I'm thinking about driving over to Six Flags in the Dallas/Fort Worth area and was wondering; how packed is the park going to be this time of year? I think Labor Day weekend is the biggest time for theme parks, so has it settled now since it's later in the summer? I don't want to go over there and have to wait an hour+ to ride a roller coaster.

At Six Flags Magic Mountain (in California), the key is to either go on a weekday or wait until school is back in session. It's no coincidence that the time of year they reduce their operating hours and days is the same time of year that attendance dramatically falls off.

I have a Six Flags season pass. I bought it in Magic Mountain, California. I live in NYC, but there's a Six Flags Great Adventure in NJ so we go there every so often.
I enjoy the ability to just go there and ride 1-4 coasters and then head home.

The best day I ever had at an amusement park was at the very end of the season and it rained hard early in the morning. Everyone else in town made other plans and we almost had the place to ourselves. No lines over 5 minutes all day, but it was a little cool after getting wet.

Now that school has started in many places in TX, it probably wouldn't be too bad to go now.
Have you considered going to Six Flags in San Antonio? We went a couple of years ago in August and there weren't big lines. About 10-15minute waits.
