St. Louis
A couple of weeks from now I will be in St. Louis for a wedding... I don't know if I will have all that much down time but would like some suggestions for things I should see and do while I'm in town...
Anyone have any ideas?

Great town - lots to do
Obviously the Arch and the museum Lacledes Landing - just up river from the arch The 'hill' - great Italian restaurants Union Station - tourist type stores and restaurants Grants Farm - owned by Bud - free tour and beer - must sign up in advance Science Center - close to the zoo Zoo - world class And on the Illinois side of the river - some kick ass strip clubs |

The Missouri Botanical Gardens are among the most impressive in the world...
Even someone not "into plants" would find them interesting. The exhibits include an entire tropical rainforest inside a dome., and traditional gardens in English, Japanese, Chinese, and other stylings. IIRC, admission is about $7. Plan on spending at least 3 hours. |

Grants Farm is my favorite St Louis attraction. I like it more so than the zoo.
If you're into trains and planes and old cars (trains mostly), the Museum of Transportation is a really really neat place. They have restored every type of train you can think of, and you can walk through them. Hundreds of them. Engines and the passanger cars. They also have a huge warehouse of restored old horse buggies and old cars. I love it. It's way out in the suburbs though, about 5 minutes from my house. |
