Cheap Vacation Ideas??
I live in the Cincinnati Ohio area and i need some ideas for cheap fun vacations that i can get to by driving no more than a day. Two college students, looking for fun stuff to do before going back to school. I thought about Gatilinburg, i've never been but it seems to be the right distance away. Anyone know of cheap nice places to stay. I'm talking like 50 bucks a night. Or even any other ideas of fun places to go would be GREAT. I have a weeks paid vacation so it can be a substantial trip or even just an overnighter!
Thanks!! |

Gatlinberg/Pigeon Forge is a huge tourist mecca - -Dollywood is right there.
There's a ton of traffic, a ton of people, crowds wherver you go, and during high tourist season, which is most of the summer, it's not cheap. There's lots of neat craft type things to see - I was there about three years ago for a weekend, and honestly there were so many freakin' people, it was not enjoyable (It took two hours to drive about 4 miles) I don't remember the pricing on it, but Hocking Hills, about an hour from Columbus, was a real pretty area in Ohio, that had lots of things to see and do -- in a nice relaxing environment
