My mom's chocolate lab just had her second (and last) litter of puppies.

Three females, four males...and ALL CHOCOLATE! I had my heart set on a yellow one, but these are so cute, I don't really care anymore :D

I'll be sure to snap some more when I get home :)

I used to like labs until.....I worked at a vet clinic.

They are cute puppies but they grow up to be more then handfuls!

our golden/lab retriever is about 10 months old now.
cool to see how their shapes change over time.

Awww, they are sooo cute. I want one! I love how they lay ontop of eachother and "snuggle" with eachother. That picture makes me happy

I'm jealous. My wife and I have been pondering getting a dog. Now I want one even more.

man...i want one so bad. my roommate and i had this elaborate plan for sneaking one into our dorm, but it never came to fruition. damn.

Who doesn't like puppies?? Puppies are lots of work, but lots of fun too.

i remember not too long ago when our chocolate was that young. Was pretty crazy though, he came from a littler of 13 ... and all chocolate.

Someone asked how much those go for. Well we got ours for free, but the lady was breeding purebreads, and with shots, de-clawing those little useless front claw things, and AKC registration, i believe she sold them @ $600 each.

Just wish we had taken more pictures when he was young. Its neat to see their shape and personality change over time in the pictures. Good luck with them, puppies are definately a handful.

If you go for a dog, get a Yellow Lab. Chocolate and Black Labs are extremely wound up animals, and their tails are like leather whips constantly whipping you. I've had a yellow lab for almost 13 years now, and she's the best dog yuo could wish for. Very calm, great around children, including my uncles babies. I could never deal with a chocolate or black lab.

Conversely, we had a black lab for the first 15 years of my life. Best dog I have seen since. Hell, he put up with my brother and I trying to ride him like a horse, picking his nose, stepping on him, everything else little kids do, and *never* once did he snap, bite, snarl, or anything. Best goddamn dog I have ever seen. (Obviously, when I was about three or four and doing this, I didnt know any better--but now knowing what we did to him, Im surprised he never bit us).

To tell the truth though, I dont think the color of the coat matters at all.


But damn are labs some good dogs. As soon as Im in an apartment where I can have pets, Ill be buying another lab.
