Urethra Infection
Hi, i am looking for someone who has the same problem as me. About 2 years ago i was really depressed and was in the habit of masturbating way too much. Probably between 3-5 times a day. Eventually it started hurting every time i did it. I slowed down and after a while i noticed that it hurt every time i went to the bathroom, even with days of not masturbating. I was feeling around to see what was wrong and i noticed there was a hard little point at the tip of my urethra. I went to the doctor and he said you have a bacterial infection. He prescribed me a cream called Cutivate, and said it should go away in a month.
Does anyone else have this same problem. I'd like to talk a little more about it. |
come on, there has to be somebody who has had this problem.
|
Sorry man, no infection here. But I hope you have a speedy recovery!

Female here, and i've had occasional uti's.
Going to the doc *is* a good idea, because if it spreads to your kidneys, that's not good. ... But, even with medical treatment...Unsweetened Cranberry Juice. Works wonders. :) |
Yeah, i know about the cranberry juice, but i dont have a uti. Its just in my urethra. I dont have any of the symptoms of a uti.
|
Strange that you should be prescribed Cutivate cream for a bacterial infection- Its a steroid cream and contraindicated for bacterial infection.

Dude, never had that problem, though i think i had something similar. This one time after too much sex, i had this extremely uncomfortable feeling in my todger. It soon turned into a burning feeling and i couldnt sit still. I really felt like i need to urinate but couldnt, then when i finally did I PISSED BLOOD. And somehow, this made the pain go away. We never spoke of this again. My policy with my penis is to dry to keep in clean and dry as much as i can. Ive also had red-raw type feeling around my todger after too much action. It usually clears up after a few days if i remember to keep clean and dry.

almostaugust, you should really tell a urologist about all that. That could be something serious.

gonadman, how do you know about Cutivate. Have you used it before? And for what?
I had looked Cutivate up a while ago on RxList.com and it didnt say anything about using it on bacterial infections. But it works, so i cant complain. |
It didn't say anything about bacterial infections because it is not intended to be used for bacterial infections. The reason it helps you is because, as a steroid, it reduces inflammation and inflammation is the cause of your discomfort. Whether that inflammation was caused by infection is the matter in question. But if your physician thought so, then it surprises me that he didn't also prescribe an antibiotic for the initiating problem, rather than just a steroid for the resulting problem.
BTW, as a steroid, small amounts will be absorbed through the skin- especially the thin skin of the genitals. So hopefully, you're not using this for an extended period of time. (I've never personally used Cutivate, but I've had a lot of experience with it) |
