Roadtrip funding... along the way?
July 1st, I'm going on a road trip.
Leaving Seattle, Washington, making a stop at the Phoenix Festival (in oregon - www.phoenixfest.com ), then heading east accross the north of america, down the east coast, through the south, the southwest, stop at BurningMan, then back home up the coast. Point being - this is going to cost quite a bit. In a perfect world, I'd have a well paying job that allowed me to save up lots of money so I could pay for everything along the way. But I don't. And I don't feel right about that anyway - I'd like to be able to sustain myself along the journey. So my question, my search, is if anyone on here has ever done a road trip and made money along the way to sustain themselves..? Odd jobs, swinging and dealing, whatever... any suggestions? do's and don'ts? I'll have a computer on the trip, so I'll probably post pics as the journey goes =) - J |

I ran into a couple of guys years ago that were on a cross country road trip. They charged people to sign their car. I think it was like $2 and you could write whatever you wanted on the car. I know its a little extreme but it is an option.

who ever is riding in th epassenger seat makes hemp jewerly, You will be shocked when you see how well they sell in the spring and summer.
Buy some Beads and Hemp and you can sell decent ones for 10-15 each or more or less, depending on what your making. People will buy em. On the west coast expecially. In some towns you can do grueling labor ay labor ready, You get paid the same day, and can bust your ass and make 60 for the day lol buts it cash whne ya need it. Bring a tent and also a book of hostals with ya, this will save ya lots of money If you really want to spemnd some time doing the country, look up "rainbow family" or rainbow family of living light" and follow there gatherings they usually spend a month in each nat'l forest. You will eat and live totaly free. and meet some interesting people, and some cool women. but you can t be hippie phobic and have to be willing to stay away from Mc Donalds for a while Anyhow these things worked for me. We also did drive away driving other peoples cars, but you have to pay for gas.
