Cool pic. I tried that when I was in elementary school...till my mom found out. We weren't allowed to dance. That's another story. It takes a good bit of coordination, strength, and energy. Have fun.

I used to breakdance a few years ago, it is a great workout. You have to be VERY careful though, I have seen lots of people break fingers and twist wrists and ankles, though I was lucky enough to have never seriously injure myself. There have also been people who have died doing headspins and halos (like the guy who was doing the Coca Cola ads, broke his neck and died on the set). If at all possible, find someone who can actually teach you how to do stuff instead of watchings videos of people breaking and trying the moves yourself. Takes LOTS of practice to be any good, and lots of space to do power moves like windmills and 90's. Have fun, was some of the best times of my life breakdancing out at clubs!
P.S. Stretch, A LOT!

Breakdancing is awesome. The old school stuff especially makes me laugh. This 30 something guy i work with used to be part of this crew called the Super Breakers or something (1981). They all had shiny jackets embossed with their name. He shows me all these old tricks he used to do. I love it. My favourite stuff is the toprock? stuff, with those real elastic band movements.
Apparently, its called Breakdancing, because in clubs when there was a break between records, dudes would just get down on the ground and start pulling these funky moves. Its also been suggested that James Brown is responsible for the start of the whole movement with his crazy on stage antics. Yeah, it requires heeps of fitness plus strength. And yeah, be careful with those head spins dude.
