Job information
I'm wondering if anyone knows a good web site to get information about different jobs. I've got a list of several things I would like to do for a career. But I'm not sure where to start (degrees I need, training I need, certifications etc). I'm wondering if anyone knows of a web site that will give information on how to break into different careers.

I'd look for websites about the specific careers: if those fields have professsional organizations or trade groups, you'll likely find a portion of their website dedicated to education and bringing new people into the profession. Even better, you might find a contact to email or call directly, somebody who could answer your specific questions.

you can try www.salary.com
they gave average salaries for your area, and a brief descriptions about the responsibilities of the job. |

even www.monster.com has job listings that will say whether or not you need a certain degree.
I am pretty sure it also has areas to which you can find out more about what you want to get into and what's required. |

If you are currently schooling go see your career counselor. They can help direct you at least initially. They also have personality assessments that can help give you insight as to what your natural gifts can be applied to differing careers.
