god damnit

so I come back from Spring Break -- I'm now officially 10 pounds lighter (thank you booze and food poisoning) and almost 10 pounds weaker on bench -- what's going on here? did i throw up all of my muscle mass?

aggh, what an agonizing (and demorazling) way to spend the day at the gym to lower all my weights

10 pounds?! Just how long is a spring break? weeks!? :hmm:

alec 03-25-2004 09:25 PM

haha, no, its a week of horrible bienge drinking, dancing in hot environments, and afternoons of endless puking & rallying

yeah I know what a spring break is all about I just didn't know how long it was, hehe..... but 10 pounds ain't that much? you should be able to gain it quickly :D

It was probably water weight that you lost. And if you were sick, of course you're going to be a little weaker than you were before. You should see about getting rehydrated and building back up to whatever you could lift before. Take care of your body before you really screw yourself over.

Anytime I go on vacation, I usually lose about ten pounds, and I am not "spring break" vacationing, but rather diving. Probably something to do with the amount of time in a weightless environment....

Or something to do with travel time. You're just sitting there, after all.

Maybe your bod's burning fat faster to keep itself warm for all that time you're underwater?

As somebody else said, it's mostly water weight you've lost. And if you really had food poisoning, you're body's still recovering. Going down 10 pounds on bench after being sick is nothing. Live clean and get your rest and keep working out, and you'll be back where you were soon enough.
