I love Chicago, but I like it better in the spring and fall. You should see Michigan Avenue and the Loop. If you like museums, the Art Institute is one of the best in the country. The Science and Technology museum and the Field (Natural History) and the Shedd Aquarium are all great if you are into those kinds of things. The food is also great, no matter what kind you like. Try Gino's East for Chicago style deep dish and a very strange atmosphere.

OK, maybe you aren't into museums. Go to the Art Institute anyway. It is amazing. You will see a number of paintings you recognize, but maybe you didn't know what they were. You will see things that you didn't think were cool when you saw them in a book somewhere; but they will blow you away in real life.

Michigan Avenue, north of the Chicago River to the WaterTower is known as the Magnificent Mile, or Mag Mile. Lots of high end shopping. The city has great restaruants of all description and price and every ethinc group is represented. Chicago is home to Second City, 1616 N Wells, which has been the birth place of many fine comedians. Call now for tickets if you are interested. Lots of music, particularly blues if you like that. Great bars and clubs. Sooooo much to do. What are your likes/dislikes?

Go to the top to the John Hancock and Sears tower. The site is unbelievable. Also, Chicago is known for its food. Get a Chicago style hotdog and a deep dish pizza from Gino's or Uno's. Also, I agree with the other suggestions made previous to mine. Finally, go to Second City Improv. It is Hilarious. I am laughing just thinking about it. Have fun, it is a great city. I lived there for 20 years.

Stay at Sofitel Hotel...it is really kool.
Check out Shedds Aquarium and the museum of Science and Industry. The Field Museum is Kool, too... There is also a GREAT Mexican restaurant down there (the name escapes me now) but they make guacamole right at your table!! and the mixed drinks are unique, and amazingly tastey...if your are in the mood for something out of the ordinary check out Ed Debevick's (Sp?) That place is hysterical...I will say nothing more about that place, don't want to give too much away...*grin* If you are going with a SO check out the Signature Lounge on the 96th floor of the John Hancock building. Great place to sit and relax and watch the sunset.... Eat also at the Cheesecake factory...the food is magnificent. Check out a stage show or 2....Go to a comedy club...or check out one of their amazing Blues bars....guarenteed good time...
