Earring holes
Hey guys,
I'm a 19 year-old male and I have my ears pierced. I took them out maybe 2 months ago and the holes are already closed (I tried to put them back in and they wouldn't go). I was wondering, so anybody who has done this, does it hurt to get them repierced? Or are they pretty much numb? |

It'd probably hurt a bit more, since the piercing would more than likely go through scar tissue if pierced in the same spot. Ears are relatively easy to do though, so just go through with it again - I doubt you'd even feel the extra pain. Just this time, don't take them out until they are well healed

how long did you have the earrings before taking them out?
i've had my ears peirced for over 10 years now, and when I take out the Earrings for months (and sometimes years) on end, I can still put them in. Sometimes it just requires a little re-streaching of the skin and "tickles" a bit... don't know how else to describe it. The hole in my nose also is the same way. haven't had a nose ring in, in years and just the other day i tried to put one in just to see if the hole stayed open and after a little fiddling, got it through. Maybe it depends on the person though. I just know mine don't close up |

I got my ears pierced when I was 11 ( I am 27 now ) When I was 12 I stoped wearing earings altogether til I was around 16 and a half 17 years old. I thought that my holes had closed to but they didnt. The studs that they use to pierce your ears are quit large in diameter and sometimes after a long period of time not wearing earrings the holes shrink and the shaft of the stud wont fit in your ear anymore. Anyways there is a solution you can try before going and getting them done again. Go to the store and just pick up a cheap $1.99, $2.99 pair of studs. Take yours with you and compair them to the cheap ones, there should be a noticeable difference in diameter of the shaft. Make sure the shaft on the new studs are smaller. Try them and see if they work. If your not alergic to the metal in the studs wear them and just gentlely tug on them while they are in your ear, that should stretch the hole enough that you can put your originals back in.

i have 2 piercings I got when I was 18. I am 35 now and haven't worn an earing in over 7 years.
with all the other types of piercings... having your ear double pierced doesn't really stand out so much.
