What hair style should I go with?
I'm thinking about changing my hair. I've always just done nothing to it, leaving it as it is after getting out of the shower. I've always kept my hair short so that it always takes on the same appearance after a shower. I'm starting to think that my hair is not so great and that I should change it. Any recommendations for hair styles I should try?

post a pic of yourself....
and no, not all girls want a guy with long hair... we've got hair of our own to play with. I like to run my fingers through my boyfriend's hair, but I like his hair short.

A pic or yourself would be most useful. Is your hair curly, fine, course, straight, or something in between? It also depends on your face shape to know what would look good on you. Obviously if you want to change your style and it's so short all over that you don't even comb it after showering you'll probably just need to start out with growing it out.
When I decided to change my hairstyle I started looking on the internet for different hairstyles. There are so many out there. I just googled for hairstyles, women's hairstyles, and women's short hairstyles. You can adjust your search as you go to find what you want. After a couple hours of looking at hairstyles I actually came up with a few that I liked. I saved those as I went and printed out the ones I liked and thought would work with my style. Then I asked opinions of those around me who know me, my style, and my hair. Finally I settled on one and when my stylist saw the pic she did a great job with my hair. I love my style and love the way I look after getting a trim. It's worth the search to find something that works best for you.

Got a girlfriend? Let her mess with it. She can cut it herself (probably not a good idea, trust me) or she can drag you to the local salon and tell them exactly what to do.
Believe me when I tell you that you will earn massive brownie points by trusting your SO enough to let her mess with your hair. And if it ends up looking stupid, you can always buzz it and you are no worse off than when you started.

Be like Nefir. Shave your head. Grow a goatee.
Better yet, let your GF do it (shave your head, that is... not grow a goatee). Make a party out of it.

Let your girlfriend cut your hair. People are surprised as to how easy it is to do this, and she will give you a style that she thinks looks good- and if she thinks it looks good, then chances are others will, too. Also, if she screws it up, you can always shave it off.

Just make sure whatever you do, you have time to keep it up. Sure, it looks great in the salon when they cut it and apply the different stuff to make it stick up. However, if you're too lazy to do that when you are at home, the look is not gonna fly. You'd be better off finding a different version of the haircut you have now that requires no upkeep.

My boyfriend lets me cut his hair all the time, I love it. And it always turns out decently. I like hair that is slightly longer than normal .. i'd just graze past your eyebrows. It honestly depends on how you look though, I'd need a picture to judge.
