Flavored Water
I remember back when this stuff first came out. It was awesome, but then people got on the "sugar is bad for you" craze and 'fixed' it by putting fake sugar in all of the flavored water. Well now every flavored water drink I've had, has a nasty as hell aftertaste to the point I simply will not drink it.
I've noticed that I'm a fan of carbonation. Caffiene isn't my deal, its the carbonation. I crave soda just for the carbonation (and the taste mind you). Pile this on the fact that I simply cannot stand drinking water... it just doesn't taste right. I have a Brita but even then I have to be thirsty to just drink a glass of it. So I like to drink something with a good taste, but I'd like to stay away from caffiene. The perfect alternative is Flavored Water!... except that everything I've had as of late uses fake sugar... which gives that nasty diet aftertaste. I recently had BAWLS.. It tasted like black cherry flavored water. It used REAL sugar and thus tasted simply wonderful. The problem is that its an energy drink and thus HIGH on caffiene.. I'm trying to stay away from caffiene as I want strong, healthy bones. My question to you is this: Is there any flavored water that you know of that uses REAL sugar? Thank You for any help that you may provide. -- GakFace

Flavored water with sugar -- isn't that gatorade?
Japan has a lot of fantastic flavored water with sugar -- peach flavor, apple flavor, etc. I tried propel. Most people I know like it. I found it absolutely vile. I can't stand artificial sweeteners in general, but the one it uses was particularly offensive to me for some reason. |

I suggest just getting used to drinking plain water. I know what you mean about not liking the taste.. I used to hate it! Now I love it and can sit here and drink it all day long. What you need to do is kill your craving for carbinated beverages by simply drinking less and less until you just don't drink anymore and by slowly drinking more and more water.
I know this isn't the answer you came here for, but I think it's the best thing for you in this situation. |

First about the laying off.. I have been laying off the soda. Still every so often, but hey! I just started. I am drinking more milk again. When I drink liquids I don't just have a glass, I have like 32 ounces. Since I'm not too fond of plain water (unless I have just worked out, mind you) drinking that amount of water just isn't appealing. Now Milk is great, I could drink that all day until my stomache says "too much" which I have done. I would just like to be able to be able to have my carbonated fill when I want one without the caffiene. Sure there is caffiene free soda.. but I remember carbonated water when it first came out and that stuff was great! I'd prefer to just drink one of those when I get the craving than a soda. Thus this is why i'm looking for one that uses real sugar.
as for kool-aid.. its not carbonated. and the taste is sweet, not quite what i'm looking for. Maybe I've been out of the loop for too long, but I remember all of these types of flavored water not having any color to them. I haven't had any Propel yet, I might have to try that.

Try Clearly Canadian, it was one of the first ones I have ever drank, and it contains natural sugars. Here is the list of ingrediants from the site.
natural water from Canada, high fructose corn syrup, carbon dioxide, natural flavour, malic acid, citric acid, sodium benzoate (to conserve freshness) Click hear for Clearly Canadians site.

i still love Clearly Canadian, but adding a squirt of lemon juice or even a slice of real lemon can give the water the bit of flavor you are looking for...if not then:
OOOOH YEAH!!!
