A friend of mine was helping me pack.
She grabbed a suitcase and said "This can be your socks and underware bag."
After a couple of minutes she said, "I guess it will be your sock bag."
I have gone commando since I was 13.
Never have seen much point in underware.

same with under shirts---stopped wearing them 30 years ago.....

That's a leftover habit of mine from the old Air Force days. I used to work 3 day shifts, 3 night shifts and then get 3 days off. One of those days off was always "laundry day". That, and my tighty whities come in packages of three.

No doubt, you need 14 pairs + 1 emergency pair. That's enough to not have to do the laundry for two weeks (assuming you got enough other clothes) and one extra for emergencies.

I think you should have at least 14. So you can have an "accident" in your boxers once a day.

I heard it's good to own about 14 pairs, this will give you one pair a day for 2 weeks, that'll also give you time to do laundry inbetween. I have tons of drawz, boxers, briefs, boxer briefs etc. Most underwear arn't very expensive unless you get into the Abercrombie, Calvin Klein, Polo and brands like that. Go hit up your local Wal-Mart and get you some Hanes, Fruit of the Loom, something like that, their not very expensive. Some times I like to go commando about twice a week, that cuts down on laundry too, haha.

Depends on how often you want to go to the laundry. If you wash them every night in the sink and hang them up to dry, you could get away with just one pair. But, then you would have to sleep COMMANDO style, so you better have two.

I think I have about 16 pairs...I do laundry every other week and the extra two are a buffer just in case I need them. But like santafe said, its all about how often you want to do laundry...

Wow, I never knew that people put so much thought into this, lol. I don't count my underwear. I don't have to have a reason to have a certain number of pairs. I mean, doesn't that seem a little....anal(no pun intended)?

I go without. Except for somedays, like when I have a doctor's appointment or something. And I'll wear sexy ones for my SO, but other that I can't stand to wear the things.

I have aroud 25 pairs.
Mostly all the boxerbrief style. best of both worlds.

I like different kind of draws . the amount has to do with all the moods I'm in.
I have my sponge bobs, my Martini glasses.
my pacman etc..

I think variety is the spice of life, and so I have dressy thongs and everyday cotton bikinis, and the drawers that have been desginated for wear during a certain time of the month. *ahem* Yeah, I probably have too many, but it saves time on laundry.
