Hot or Cold?
If you had a choice to be in a room with either extremes which would it be?
1. Cold 2. Hot *I choose Cold cause its easier and faster for me to warm up than get cold, just by putting on a sweater or getting under some blankies. If your too hot you have to have airconditioning-and that would take a bit. |

if it were just a room - cold, for the same reasons lordjeebus came up with.
if it were the entire world, Id ratehr it be an oven. THeres no limit to solar power and we are quite good at sheltering ourselves with A/C, theres no reason why we couldnt do that forever. We could also condense water like in the movies and everything - it is possible. But I still like the cold - cant stand being sweaty unless I worked for it. |

I love being cold, much to the annoyance of anybody who is in the coldness of an anleja-influenced temperature. I always hear "aren't you cold? Why don't you turn the AC off?" to which I say "yeah... I like being cold!" Then I'll turn down the AC, but not because I want to...

as long as my feet can be toasty, i'll take cold. i hate my feet being cold or wet. if it's hot, they sweat, then they're wet. as long as i have thick soxors, i'll be fine.

iエd take cold.
i find it easier to find that perfect temp when you can just put more clothes on, or curling up under a warm blankie... mind you, i heat up very quickly, and tend to over heat if i put too much on. the heat is great for the outside, but inside i like it cold.

Cold. I lived in a really hot climate for years, and like most of you have said - its easier to put on more clothing to warm up.
Less smelly too.

hot I love the heat I'd have to break out the air conditioning once it got to be around 85/87, but otherwise it's great
And outdoors I like it around 90

Cold, I can dress for the cold weather and be just right.
Hot, I hate the humidity...and even if your naked, your still gonna be hot as hell. I choose cold weather anyday.

not sure, if it was a sauna i wouldn't mind the hot. If i wasn't alone or bundled up I wouldn't mind the cold (I like being bundled up in cold weather, or naked in hot weather)

I'd choose Cold. After a while, you just slip into unconsciousness.
Wasn't there a game show sometime back, where contestants had to endure either extremes of hot or cold, and if they withstood it for a period of time, they won a prize? They got strapped into a chair, and chose hot or cold, and they either got roasted, or blasted with icy water and wind.... |

How extreme are we talking? I think I'd rather freeze to death than burn to death (does anybody disagree?), but I'm much more tolerant of heat than I am of cold. A 60 degree room feels quite cold to me, but an 85+ degree room is great. Thus, as a general rule, I never use A/C.

Well on one hand, I'd rather be cold because like someone already said, you can always pile stuff on to warm up, but there's only so much you can take off. However, if the situation was that I'd always be permanantly hot or cold no matter what, I'd choose hot... Because when I get cold, I'll start to sweat and my skin tightens, then I'll start shivering and I won't be able to get anything done. Hot is just really uncomfortable.

Cold.
I have to say though, I'm really surprised by the amount of respondants that chose "cold". Usually, when this question comes up in my "real life", people tend to choose hot. I always thought myself to be somewhat unusual, in the regard.

Cold. I love cold weather. Fall and winter are my favorite seasons.
Its also a lot easier to get warm than to get cold. You can always put more clothes, but you can only take off so many.

Extreme hot or cold? Probably cold as long as I had access to warm clothing and blankets.
Of course if I had access to A/C, then I would prefer hot. If i had access to neither blankets or A/C.. then I would chose hot.

Cold. I'll bundle up in cloathing and lots of wonderful blankets.
If I can't have the warm cloathing and blankets, then I'll take the hot option...but I can't really stand extreme heat...must be the norwegian blood in me... which also explains my whiter than a ghost skin pigment.

As far as extremes go a room can get much more uncomfortably cold than hot. However during the evening it is much harder to fall asleep in a really hot room than it is to fall asleep in a really cold room. However when waking up I find it much easier to leave the bed in a hot room rather than a cold room.
