It looks like my current employer (of 3 years) is going to be laying off their entire Austin-based team with the exception of the sales staff, who are being transferred to Houston sometime in the next 3 weeks, which means I'll be out looking for a job again. Does anyone have any tips on job searching? I'm a Sr. Systems Engineer and want to stay in a related field, but from what I've heard tech jobs are pretty hard to come by and lots of people are looking for them. Any general help you could provide, or even stuff specific to Austin, please let me know!
