Need help with internship
I figured somebody i here might be able to help me out.
I'm currently enrolled at the KaosPilots, a 3-year program in project-management, process-design, and creative business-design(www.kaospilot.dk). We're in the process of trying to find placements for 2 month internships. We're supposed to focus on using these internships to learn about something that we want to work on next semester, for our final project. Me, I wanna work with cars, racecars please, if possible. Now, thats been kinda hard to find, as all the teams are busy with the season winding down and all. So I've shifted my focus a bit. I'd like to work with corporate identity and branding, or leadership/high-level management. What I'm hoping for here, is suggestions on businesses that might be interesting, advice on how to get a foot in the door, that sort of thing. So give me you 0.2$, why don't ya? Thanks for your time, this forum rocks! Ripp.

most websites have HR information on internships.
check with some corporate PR firms and also advertising firms in your area. some graphic artists may also help lead you in the direction of what firms to check out.

I've always found that you want your letter to stand out from the other applicants. For instance, when I applied for an internship at the capitol I told a humorous story about how I shared an elevator ride with Ted Kennedy and how it was my first realization that politicians are people, too. I then went into why I want the internship and my qualifications. Whatever you do, don't be boring. The person that sorts through the applications wants some humor or entertainment. Be tactful and don't mention how you spent your first night in jail and the way you were able to earn the prisoners respect by your knowledge of cars.
