In all seriouness i would look around on the interweb and see if you can find a NEW HEALTHY LIFE style. That weight watchers thing is funny IMHO ,and we all know what opinions are like. Do not pay anyone unless you have a personal trainer and nutrioner or somthing. But paying for a meeting about weight loss is kinda funny to me.
All you have to do is change yer diet to somthing healthy. DRINK A CRAP LOAD of WATER. Just this alone can help you start shedding pounds. Stop drinking soda. After about a week or two you wont crave it as much anymore. And always , i mean always, Do exercise. Do some walking, thats about the easiest and you can do it ANYWHERE! Then maybe get some weights and burn fat there as well as increase some muscle. But by all means just watch what ya eat and drink water! Have fun losing weight, I DID! lost around 40 to 50 pounds. I didnt keep track. A Change in life style is what matters. |

Delsid is right, it's a lifestyle change rather than a short-term thing, but that said, I've tried Weight Watchers and it worked wonders for me. Essentially, it's a way to point out to you how much you eat - and teach you to do so in moderation. Once you figure that out, you don't need the program any more. I lost about 10-15 lbs on Weight Watchers two years ago when I tried it, but fell off the wagon and gained it all back - plus another five.
This year, I made the decision to keep the weight off - and made a bet with a friend to keep me working at it. We both wanted to lose 20 lbs and are both hypercompetitive people - so we bet $100 per 10 lbs. It came down to moving more (I take the stairs to and from my 13th floor office, instead of the elevator), eating less (goodbye to my thrice weekly pizza binges), cutting back greatly on alcohol and drinking more water. I switched from Sprite to Seltzer, also. Still gives you the bubbly taste, which is what I really liked, and fills you up fast - but zero calories. Good luck!

Some people need the motivation that weighing in weekly can provide. I have been on WW for 3 months now and am 34 lbs down. I have around 30 more to go before I achieve lifetime and then the meetings are free. I tried to do it on my own, but it was hard to know how much was too much without getting the literature, etc (some things don't fill you up but have tons of calories). Yes, I could have done this on my own, but it provided the framework and motivation for me to continue.

My wife is doing this, mainly for the fact that she is having a hard time loosing the weight from our last child. It works, as long as you stick to, but that can be said for any plan. If you do anything, you just need to keep with it, not cheat etc.

My girlfriend tried it to, but it wasn't a succes. Becouse she had to eat different things than her family, so she had to cook 2 different meals every day and got fed up with it.
But if you don't give up I think could help you losing weight. Good luck!
