Dream Vacation?
What is your Dream Vacation? If you had the money and could afford to take the required amount of time away from work and home, where would you go?
For me, I'd fly to St. Petersburg, Russia. Spend a few days touring the city built by Peter the Great. Then I would get on a train (first class accomodations). And travel to Moscow then on to Kiev, Ukraine --> Warsaw, Poland --> Prague, Czech Republic --> Bratislava, Slovakia --> Budapest, Hungary --> Sibiu, Romania --> Bucharest, Romania --> Constanta, Romania Stopping a few days at each city to see the sights, especially Kiev, Ukraine and Prague, Czech Republic. I've never been to those cities, but I from what I've seen, I would love to tour both of them. I would also like to go through Hungary and Romania, and tour the castles of Prince Vlad III (a.k.a. Vlad the impaler but better known as Dracula, son of Count Dracul). It would be so fun to tour the whole Transylvanian region and Mt. Moldolveanu to see the places where Vlad started the legends of vampires. Then finish up relaxing on the beaches of the black sea.

So dark and evil is your trip, Mirevolver....hope you don't run into any vampires while you're there...or worse off...become one yourself....
My dream vacation: Blast off into the stars. Set a course for the second star to the left, and straight on 'til morning. A tour of the cosmos. But if you're talking about staying on the planet Earth, then I want to take a few different trips: 1. An Alaskin Cruise. A tour of Alaska would be wonderful! So many beautful jagged rough mountains covered in snow! Breathtaking view. 2. A trip to the Tropics. Either Hawaii, or the meiteranian islands. Party all night and sleep on the beach. 3. A trip through Itally and Greece. I'd love to visit all of Europe, but I want to start with the places the Greek Philosphers and poets refer to, as well as where the Roman empire had it's roots. 4. A trip to see all the ancient civilizations' ruins. From the Pyramids in Egypt to stonehenge in Europe. From the Inca remains to the Myian ruins. I'd start in Ejept, go to stonehenge, hope the ocean to Mexico, and then down to South America. ...soo many places to go and see...so little time....so little money... If I can't explore the universe, then I had better explore the Earth.

omfg, what a hard question.
i donīt think iīll ever be satisfied with my life until iīve seen every single corner on this great blue planet. right now, at this very second... my ideal vacation would be to somewhere cold... (since its already FRIGGING hot in Sydney)... however, my issues with the aussie summer aside, i think my ideal vacation atm would be to go back to Africa and see it again, knowing what i know now iīll have an even better time. i didnīt see enough of it... so, my ideal vacation at the moment would be to travel from Morocco, across the top of Africa, to egypt, then to go down through the east right down to the cape, stopping off at all of the places on the way. then, iīd have to travel north again, this time heading along the west coast of sub-saharan africa, and then through West Africa... ending up back in Morocco. central african nations would not be forgotten in this adventure. they would be worked in throughout the journey. having spent a year on this, i will then embark on similar journeys through every other part of the world. but... well... thats just a dream isnīt it.

I have been really lucky in my work life and have had the chance to see a lot of really interesting places,
I would love to go back to Petra in Jordan (Tomb Raiders set) Of the other places, back to London and New York..... hmmm baggels new places..... take the kids to Disneyland, Calif of of course. North to the Canadian rockies during winter, skiing in real snow would be so great. See more of Italy like Florence and Rome. And to top it all off a long cruise on a very luxurious ship with my wife but without my kids (I love them but they interrupt at the worst possible times)

mirevolver - excellent dreamtrip - i've also had a long-time desire to see those areas of the world.
dunno realistically if i could do it all at once like that, but at least Warsaw and Prague i'd like to see next year and should be fairly easy (i'm living in Germany for a couple years). my other fairly realistic 'dream-trip' is italy. i'd like to see as much as possible, but that i may have to break down in smaller bits. where else? i dunno. i'd love to go to london (and see some of the rest of the british isles) but only with boatloads of cash to go shopping. i've been lucky enough to have gone to the Yucatan 2x already, and i could go back there anytime, i love it. no interest in Africa/South America. no place with big nasty bugs and such. (exception - egypt). Greece and the Mediterranian would be awesome for a month or 2. oh and i'd love to go to Antarctica. yes, really. hm...and if i'm *really* dreaming... /me wants to vacation on the Moon!

How about three months in the South Pacific...
Hit Hawaii on the way out, then Truk Lagoon, Bikini Atoll, Fiji, Tahiti, Solomon Islands, and then Korea so my girlfriend can see her sister. On the way back stop off in the Riviera Maya for some cave diving. Yeah that would do it.

Dream vacation, all over Europe! I'd love to go everywhere and see everything. Extended stays in The Netherlands and France I'd also love to go to Armenia and see where my grandma and other relatives came from.

I have another Dream Vacation,
I would fly into Frankfurt, Germany. Then travel north to a small town called Bad Rothenfelde and spend a week or so with my cousins that live in Germany. (I always do that when I travel to Germany). Then I would travel north to Copenhagen, spend a few days there. Cross the waters and go to Stockholm, then travel to Helsinki, and then cross into Russia spening a few days in St. Petersburg and Moscow.

I want to buy a super modified Vespa and take it all over Europe. All except for Spain; I have never had any desire to see Spain. And not only do I want to see all of the cities, but I also want to see the countriside- like the quaint cottege that my grandmother grew up in outside of Bayonne.
