Going to Vegas this weekend
 

Well, I am going to Las Vegas for a bachelor / bachelorette party. There are about 20 of us going, girls and guys from the wedding party. We are going to split up Saturday night and do our own things.

So, here is my question... What is the one thing I should do while I am there? I went once back when I was 21 (1995) and saw most of the sites then. Any good suggestions?

Find the nearest hot craps table at the nearest hotel and park yourself there :).

tf, if you've done the whole stripclub,drunken gambling thing and are over that.. go see some shows maybe.. or just walk around drinking and enjoying yourself with your party. There is a lot of stuff here that is new, but really the city hasnt changed that much since 95.. it's still all about: drink, roam, gamble, stripclub, shop, shows...

Yeah, when I was there I saw "O", Penn and Teller, and the Blue Man Group. I think the best was O, but it was really pricey. Blue Man Group was hilarious and very entertaining as well, I strongly recommend it. Anything other than sitting there gambling, I don't realy understand why people feel the need to do that. Has anyone ever won any money there? I sure as hell haven't! haha maybe I'm just being a sore loser

I would agree, O is impressive, though expensive. Good for both the lads and ladies. I'm sure when the genders split up, you'll think of something to do...

Ganguro I take it you live there? I would say that if you haven't been there since 95 then you would barely recognize parts of the main strip. For one thing, You don't have to cross the streets anymore, it's all walkways above the traffic. I don't think The Bellagio, Venetian, (new) Aladdin or Mandalay Bay were there in 95. You could check out the wax museum or take a gondola ride at the Venetian, check out the sharks at mandalay bay, or go to the Ghost bar at the palms. Don't miss the free dancing water show in front of the Bellagio. Very romantic with the right person.
Also, I hear that Treasure Island has a new show out front starting at the end of October. Something about sirens...

Craps at the Hard Rock was pretty fun last time - and don't bother with Siegfried & Roy - I thought they were a bore. I heard Danny Ganz is pretty good though.

Hit the Hard Rock [start with the Circle bar and see if anything is happening at the club downstairs] there is a GREAT nuddie Bar across the street...or so I've heard, that is ...

If you like star trek, go to star trek the experiance. :) its fuggin awesome.

i was just there a couple months ago... it was so great...i would say definatly hit the bars at the palms.."ghost bar" or "rain"...mandalay bay has some great bars too.."rumjungle" is the bomb...and there is a new one at bellagio called "caramel"...very cool...you gotta hit the strip clubs...the one across the street from the hard rock is awesome..but a ways off the strip...and there is a new show at NYNY...from cirque...called "zumanity" it''s nude...i am dying to see it

Going first weekend on October myself. Thanks for all the advice. My two cents is the Double down saloon ( I think). I think that it is the best dive bar I have ever been to. Careful in there though, since it is right next to a transvestite bar, and you might get a little more than you bargained for. Unless that's what you're into.
