After Shaving Bump reduction...
Ok, after I shave my chest and pubic region, after a few days i get little irritated bumps that some times develop into ingrown hairs (mainly on my chest actually with the ingrown hairs... on the pubic region its just usually the bumps).
how can I avoid this, or atleast lessen the bumps and redness of this? Do i just need to "exfoliate" more or somthing? cause i have read about that, but i figured a rough wash cloth would be good enough... any help would be mucho appreciatedo... |

Good question. I have the same problem when I shave my inner thighs. I now just avoid shaving my inner thighs.

Try cutting the hair with an electric clipper to its lowest level i.e with the number 1 attachment. Then use a nice shaving foam, I personally like the Nivea sensitive range, then shave with the hairs .. very important ... have a shower .. then reapply the foam and now shave against the grain if you desire a very close smooth shave. Use a moistureiser every day for the first 3-5 days after and you should notice a difference. Good lucj and let us know how it goes.

I find that using shaving cream for sensitive skin is the best way to go. I use Avena products for that. Also, believe it or not, aftershave seems to help me out, too. And like Anibal5 suggested, try trimming it down first with an electric clipper. It saves time, too, that way.
