Nervous Jitters
When I get nervous, I get the jitters. Basically, my job entails doing precise work at a high speed. I'm starting to get over it the more I preform the task, but it is still quite bothersome because I end up doing stupid shit, such as knocking over things. It gets even worse when there is another person in the room overlooking me doing said task.
My main problem lies in the fact that my hands shake a TON when I'm nervous. Does anyone have any tips to help stop these? It's kind of embarrasing, which just leads to more shakes. Yes yes, insert comedy "masturbate more" option here. |

Dont know if I can help with the shakes, but my old house mate would fart when he got nervous. and they where wrong. We where both at uni when we lived together and at exam time he was a shocka....

If you have a word with a doctor, some kind of beta blocker might be quite useful. They're the drugs that are used for blood pressure amongst other things, and are banned in shooting competitions (abused to help competitors hold their guns steady)
nb not if you're asthmatic - they can make it worse

Sounds like too much stress. Maybe you can learn how to think in your mind and relax yourself? High stress jobs tend to do things like this to people, try to relax more often and if something comes up, try to multitask it and take things a little slower.

perhaps you need to spend more time getting comfortable with the task at hand... the best way to beat being nervous about something is to do it alot until you are comfortable doing it. by giving yourself time to figure out the process, you will better understand what you are doing and will gain the confidence you need to complete the task faster and more efficiently. if you have the problem of people staring over your shoulder, politely let them know how they are making youf eel and explain to them what you are doing and how you are progressing... time, patience, and repetition will cure what ails you.
