CIGAR
What are your favorite cigars ? (preferably non-cuban so I can actually find them)
Also, what are some good places to get them through the mail ? |
|
Wow, great site.
I like the double scimitars but haven't seen them in a long time. |
Macanudo can be a great start :)

Avo's are always good.

Being in Canada, I envy that you have some great online places that you can get great cigars. Albeit non-cubans but there are some really excellent non-cubans. Surfing some sites, with envy including the CDN->USD exchange, it is a heck of alot cheaper than here in Canada. Damn "SIN" taxes.
Before you buy a box, go to your local tobacconist and try a few individual sticks. If you like them then try some of the online places...I'll not name places since I'm unsure if that's acceptable. Some of my fav non cubans are Padrons Anniversary, CAO Maduro, Punch Gran Cru, Flor de Allones. There are lots of other exceptional brands out there. IME, talking to your tobacconist to...lack of a better term...to match you personal tastes in regards to foods and drink preferences and they'll better find appropriate cigars for you to try for the appropriate time of day. The ones I've listed tend to be on the "stronger" side since I do like spicy and flavorful foods and strong drinks (single malts). I do like Macs (Macanudo) which are on the mild side with my morning coffee. So have fun and happy "Herfing" as the say. PS: I am by no means a cigar afficionado. I just love cigars!!! |
I think I am going to the cigar store now
I have always liked cigars, and I am feeling the urge again. Especially because I know how to be sophistomicated about it now :) |
Ahhh, I love being in central america. Cheap cubans and cigars, too!
(no offensive meant to our cuban brethren) |
Opus X and Padron 1964 anniversay edition are two of my favorites
|
I just enjoyed a beautiful, mild, Cuesta Rey. I have been told in the past that they are the best 7-10 dollars cigars around, and I tend to agree.

Macanudo's or Monte Cristo's. Most upper echelon bars carry both and they should be easy to find at your local cigar shop.
