How many pets are you own?
i have three, one dog ,one cat and one bird, how about u ?

genuinegirly 09-27-2010 07:33 PM

One rabbit, two hamsters. I have a thing for little critters.
Oh, and I'm hardly their owner. More like their protector.

PonyPotato 09-27-2010 07:38 PM

At one point, I had 6 horses, 3 dogs, 5 cats, and a rabbit.

Now I have 1 dog and 3 cats. It's a little empty-feeling.

Fotzlid 09-27-2010 07:42 PM

1 dog and 3 aquariums

snowy 09-27-2010 07:50 PM

2 cats.

StanT 09-27-2010 08:02 PM

Own? Technically one.
We have his and hers puppies.

Xerxys 09-27-2010 08:17 PM

Butch. He's a rock.

Just one little dog. Best dog ever.

Willravel 09-27-2010 10:38 PM

The best dog ever. Today, he fell asleep in my rocking chair with one ear on the armrest and it was the most amazing thing ever.

dogzilla 09-28-2010 01:28 AM

One cat. His face is my avatar

noodle 09-28-2010 03:04 AM

I am owned by three cats. 50 lbs of feline lovin' that runs around the house like a herd of elephants. These are my Thundercats.

ASU2003 09-28-2010 05:21 AM

Zero, I prefer to see animals in their native environments and let them live there. I also don't have time to deal with a pet, or take it someplace when I travel.

The_Jazz 09-28-2010 06:43 AM

Two kids. Human, not goats.

Plan9 09-28-2010 08:49 AM

I've got a girlfriend, a cat, a fish and like two dozen children that were all born sometime during the late '70s.

Is that like figuratively speaking? Like, scraped up all your mishaps from the floor and knit a one-sie for them?

Plan9 09-28-2010 09:55 AM

I was being serious but your answer is more fun.

Cimarron29414 09-28-2010 11:18 AM

Mammals wise: my max was a rescued greyhound, rescued cat, and fostering 3 rescued parrots.

The greyhound passed and I found homes for the 3 parrots. Now, I'm down to the 17-year-old step cat (came with the wife). She's a cranky old broad with high blood pressure, arthritis, and diabetes. The cat, not the wife.

actinic 09-28-2010 03:02 PM

The wife and I have 2 cats, a "plucky" African Grey (Elaphe's while he's doing his RCMP thing), 2 Pacific Parrotlettes and a toad that I found at a client's window well. Not sure how it got there as there's no woodlands nearby o.O. 55gal FW planted community, SW fish and coral in a series of RubberMaid containers until I get around to building a 500gal system...renovating the house for the wife's needs/wants and upcoming ankle biters...LOL! Going to get a Bull Mastiff next year and French Bulldog the year after. Hmmm...me thinks the 500gal will be awhile...FAHQUE!

Critters that we've had:
Henkel's leaf tail gecko, Harlequin Lories, finches (Star, Cordon Bleu, Lady Gouldian, etc), blue front amazon, double yellow amazon, Goffin's cockatoo (RIP), chameleons (Nose Be Jackson's, Flapneck, Meller's), iguana, leopard geckos, African fat tail gecko, turtles (RES, Mississipi Maps, Diamond Back, 3-line musks), tortoises, (redfoot, Burmese and Indian star colony back in NT-HK rescued from a food market and villages near my mothers')...that's all I can think of.

777 10-06-2010 10:18 PM

We had a cat a her kittens. The cat, instead of brining us birds or rodents that most cats would hunt, she'd bring socks and rice krispy treat wrapers. The kittens were mean little creatures, hissing and clawing at your shoes before running off. They are actual stray cats that my roommate fed one day, and the cats have been coming to our door store ever since.

Last Monday, they were sent to a shelter, so now we're left with two finches in a cage. That act up when ever I fry chicken on the store. I wonder why...

Grancey 10-07-2010 12:03 PM

Well, three that I pay enormous vet bills to maintain in their ecstatic state of felinery. Shall I include the cow and three calves that have been wondering over for the past two weeks? They are quite entertaining even in their destructive state. My, how life changes when you look away for just a minute.

Meditrina 10-07-2010 12:15 PM

I have just one cat. I am glad to have his company when the children are at their father's house.

CinnamonGirl 11-01-2010 01:35 PM

I have one crazy little puppy dog.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...rl29/ben-1.jpg

This is the least amount of animals I've had around me in ten years or so. Our next two pets will be kitty cats. A Corgi is apparently in the future as well, and I'd eventually like a goat. :)

ItWasMe 11-01-2010 10:14 PM

I wouldn't mind having a goat. Probably more reliable at mowing the back field than the kids.
We have one old golden retriever, and a bunch of wild birds at my bird feeders. Oh, and several neighbor cats that keep invading, mostly because of the bird feeders.

tasineah 11-01-2010 10:50 PM

two old tabby cats, Eleanor Beatrix Hannibal James and Mr Smitty the one eyed rocking on limping kitty.

One 14 year old newfoundland female dog named Story.

And as soon as possible. a horse

Starkizzer 11-01-2010 10:59 PM

Currently, we own zero pets. However, I have been informed that when we no longer live with our roomie (who has two cats) we will be adopting Moo Shu the Attack Cat from my parents. I would also like to get a English Terrier, I figure if a dog needs to be raised around cats to learn to deal with them, this is the cat for the job.

FuriousAvatar 11-02-2010 12:07 AM

I've a female cat and a brother/sister ferret pair. My cat still regards them with a measure of suspicion mingled with curiousity, while my ferrets are pretty much fearless little shit machines (as in, you know, they shit. A lot. I just cleaned their cage for the 3rd time today).

Here they are:

Titan_Uranus 11-02-2010 05:10 AM

A boerbul and a hamster.

Cat_Eyes 11-02-2010 12:15 PM

We have two young cats- one small tortoise shell named Sasha and a big ginger tabby named Peanut.

I had to put down my dog of 13 years on the 1st of July. The cancer finally got to where he could barely walk... He was a wonderful German Shepherd/Chow mix~ mostly golden Shepherd. :(

sweet release 11-03-2010 02:57 PM

2 snakes.

well, i used to own a dog and a bunny rabbit, but not anymore

cadre 11-08-2010 10:02 AM

Technically I have thousands of pets, haha. And by that I'm referring to the reef tank in my living room.

But also one dog and one cat, both rescues, both mutts.

Dragonlich 11-08-2010 10:36 AM

I serve one cat. Nobody owns cats. :)

Did the snakes eat them?

Wes Mantooth 11-10-2010 12:10 AM

A cricket named Emmit that seems to have moved in behind my tv sometime about a year and a half ago and has yet to leave. He always says good morning and chirps away when I get home yet doesn't apparently have any need to eat as he NEVER leaves. So YAY me I have an easy to manage, low maintenance pet!

This picture is awesome. It looks like it just wrestled a bear and won.

My two old cats, including my feisty Fuzz Bucket, trained my parents' dog so well that he has some distinctly cat-like behaviors. When my parents had our cats, Ruff and Tumble, Jack acted like their nanny, barking at them when they clawed furniture, knocked over their water dish, or did something they weren't supposed to. He'd go and get my mom and show her what the two kitties had done or gotten into. He came down to visit this last weekend, and Ruff and Tumble nuzzled his face like they'd missed him. It was sooo cute!

StanT 11-10-2010 10:58 AM

I've had to tackle my 3yr old Newf to prevent her from going after the local bear. However, she walks wide circles around my daughter's cat when we cat-sit.

Tully Mars 11-10-2010 11:28 AM

Two dogs... Bandit and Bo. Both p[pound puppy mutts.
