Loud A/C units on apartment roof
So I moved into a new apartment a few weeks ago. The unit I am in has A/C compressors directly above it and they are LOUD and VIBRATE a lot. I told management and they said they installed new pads, but they don't seem to help. They are driving me CRAZY and I don't really know what to do. If I could move to a new unit I would but all my furniture is here and I can't move it by myself. I'm not very good dealing with people regarding these things but I want them to fix it somehow! I'm not really sure what to do next

It is a design flaw. They will not fix it until they find out that they cannot rent those units.
Move to a new apartment, ask management to help you move. Good Luck

If you're committed to staying in the apartment, look into a set of noise-cancelling headphones. The higher end units work very well for your type of sound and can be used just to filter out noise (without music) just by turning them on. Might be tricky to sleep in though...
