are tattoos somewhat addictive?
I have two presently, but which both are of the same theme.... I have the last line "the catcher in the rye" on my right forearm, and a red carouse horse on my left bicep (from the last chapter of "the catcher in the rye"
Before I was 30 I never really seriously thought about getting a tattoo, but now Im thinking about getting a third one on my right bicep... have other people found it an addictive process? |
i wouldn't say they are addictive. i now have six, and i'm trying to figure out what i will get next. i dont NEED to get one, i can stop anytime i want.
|
...i don't have one nor want one...but that's just me
...i like my skin looking natural and pure...but that's just me |

I was 31 when I got my first one....I now have six....for me what is addicting is the pain (no big surprise there) but there is something so cathartic and soul cleansing about coming out the other end of that.
Im currently planning my 7th |
I have 4 and M has 5 but we have positioned them on our upper arms and backs that they can't be seen unless we deliberately show them with certain style shirts.
I'm good with what I have, I got done what I wanted. Sometimes I think about getting another one but . . . a tattoo is a deeply personal decision and not to be taken lightly. You don't get a tattoo because you "gotta have one", you get it because it reflects something personal that you want on your body until the day you die. If you don't use or have the same artist that is a concern as well. That artist is marking you permanently with their art. It's your choice, it's on a little outline, but it's still their art. |
I'm with Shell and Phil. Don't have any, don't want any. Don't find them all that attractive.

Don't have any. I don't want one but I think they are very attractive. I've seen some good work.
|
I have one. No burning desire to get any additions.
|
I think it's a very addictive process. The pain of it is very therapeutic, and definitely something to be desired, in my opinion...
|
Before I got my first I was very hesitant. It took me several years of thinking seriously before I got it...now the only thing that keeps me from getting more is lack of money.
So maybe. There's certainly some validity to it. |
I have one, and I'd like more. I really hate needles, too, so that should say something about potential addictiveness.
