I have, uh, a small collection.

Mostly from Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab: Potions, Perfumes, and Esoteric Brews

I'm currently wearing O, which is honey, vanilla and amber, and is ridiculously sexy. :D

Based on the suggestions in the epic Ask a Cologne Snob thread by MSD, I wear Green Irish Tweed, by Creed. In fact, I am nearly out of it, after wearing it sparingly for 2 years.
Quote:

Created using base notes of citrus and sandalwood, the scent of Creed’s Green Irish Tweed evokes the image of the masculine country gentleman without being too pretentious or pastoral. The unusual mixture of verbena, violet leaves and Florentine iris with sandalwood and ambergris give you a cologne that may be worn all day and into the evening without being overpowering.

I wish most men would wear cologne. Good stuff. Not Brut or whatever lol.

uncle phil 06-15-2009 10:38 AM

Because of MSD threads I sought that out to smell it....oh ick I cant stand it, I was really disappointed lol

thespian86 06-15-2009 11:14 AM

Lacoste Red in the summer, Lacoste Original the other three months.

ShaniFaye 06-15-2009 11:17 AM

I wear one thing....Scottish Heather

Punk.of.Ages 06-15-2009 11:17 AM

I don't wear cologne. It gives me flashbacks.

I lit myself on fire with the stuff when I was 13. I can no longer tolerate the smell. It's reminiscent of the smell of burning flesh.

ShaniFaye 06-15-2009 11:21 AM

Im that way about Chanel No.5 and milkyway candy bars

My mother gave me her milkyway that had been in the bottom of her gym bag when I was a teenager (this was waaaay back in the 80's when the wrappers will still paper) and her perfume bottle had soaked it and I didnt know it until I took a bite. To this day I can stand the smell of Chanel No.5 nor can I look at a milkyway

wooÐs 06-15-2009 11:24 AM

I don't know how anyone can stand Chanel No.5. It smells like old lady to me. http://img13.imageshack.us/img13/171/icon9j.png

That's what my dad wears. With Old Spice deodorant.

Nothing beats the smell of Dad in my mind, unless it's the smell of Mom--she smells like Chloe.

I don't wear perfume. My SO is too sensitive.

dlish 06-15-2009 11:44 AM

CK One

Xerxys 06-15-2009 11:57 AM

I wear no perfumes or colognes, I smell like nothing, I smell of nothing, I hate smelling like anything ...

I spray axe to prevent anything smelling like me to escape me ...

Reese 06-15-2009 12:12 PM

I don't use any cologne anymore. I think the body wash coupled with deodorant and shampoo/conditioner is already going overboard with different smells. Adding Cologne to that just confuses the senses to me.

inBOIL 06-15-2009 01:43 PM

I don't wear cologne, since it has just as much chance of repelling a woman as attracting her. Besides, it tends to give me a headache.

Unscented dove body wash + unscented antiperspirent. Don't know what to tell you about the shampoo, but if someone is close enough that they're smelling your hair, I don't think you need to worry about offending them with olfactory complexity

CinnamonGirl 06-15-2009 02:37 PM

I prefer scented lotions to perfume... but I occasionally spritz on some Black Amethyst body spray from B&BW. I also buy a vial of scented oil from the Renn Fest every year-- Egyptian Jasmine. Yum.

Fremen 06-15-2009 02:49 PM

I was watching "I love the 70's" on VH1 the other day, and they mentioned the Charlie (sp?) perfume and ads from back then.
My friend says her grandfather used it because he liked the smell. Her grandfather!

Anyway, I like Old Spice, English Leather, the different Axe mixes and the sample of Bod Man I was given. Basically, cheap stuff.

I wish I could find a sample of Hai Karate so I could smell it. I've heard it denigrated over the years and wanted to judge it for my self. I was too young for cologne when it was around.

ShaniFaye 06-15-2009 03:04 PM

I adore the smell of old spice on a guy

Punk.of.Ages 06-15-2009 03:12 PM

While I don't use cologne, I do use Old Spice deodorant, and Old Spice body wash. Those keep me smelling just fine...

ShaniFaye 06-15-2009 03:14 PM

I'll wear the shirt you like if I can just come smell you :icare:

Punk.of.Ages 06-15-2009 03:15 PM

lol

That reminds me of Love's Baby Soft. That was my first fragrance ever I think.

PonyPotato 06-15-2009 04:26 PM

I wear Fresh's Apricot Fig perfume (can get it from Sephora).

It's the only perfume I've ever liked enough to buy and wear on a regular basis. I love it, and I'm very unlikely to smell like someone else X person knows.

robot_parade 06-15-2009 07:05 PM

I wear:

http://www.yournewfragrance.com/v/vs...garo_iii_m.jpg

Ungaro III

And:

http://www.4-fragrances.com/men/pi-m.jpg

Pi

Not at the same time, of course. The Ungaro III is more 'spice and smoke' smelling, while Pi is more vanilla-ey.

Also some stuff from BPAL - my favorite of these so far is 'Oberon'.

Oh - Almost forgot to give a shout-out to MSD's awesome advice in the 'Ask A Cologne Snob' thread. He recommended both the Ungaro III and the Pi, and I'm quite happy with both.

Psycho Dad 06-15-2009 08:11 PM

Brut

Crack 06-15-2009 08:36 PM

I don't wear cologne, really, but if I do, maybe once a year or less, I like Drakkar Noir:
https://www.beautive.com/images/prod/l/04635330705.jpg
Also, my sister once gave me Paco Rabanne XS, a long time ago, but that's one I wear about once every 3 years:http://www.interstellar-solutions.co...pray-100ml.jpg
Those are the only two I own, and I've had them for years. I can't imagine myself ever shopping for cologne. My natural scent is fine, as long as I've had a shower not too long ago.

wooÐs 06-16-2009 06:35 PM

I forgot about this:

http://img132.imageshack.us/img132/2...4oz5991835.jpg

It's a great scent and it's fairly cheap. Maybe $20 for 3.4oz. I've used Design off and on for years now. I always get compliments when I wear it.

CinnamonGirl 06-16-2009 07:49 PM

There's a guy at work who wears what I believe is called "Fierce." Oh...it's amazingly wonderful. Yum.

Bill O'Rights 06-16-2009 08:55 PM

Until I found the scottish heather oil, this was all I wore....it smells awesome....occasionally Kroger will have it on sale for 15 dollars (1/2 price of what Ulta 3 charged) and I will pick up a bottle just to have something different

BadNick 06-17-2009 05:36 AM

I hardly ever wear cologne (or perfume) by when I do I go with Eau Savage by Christian Dior. If I have to smell like something other than me I like this stuff, not only the smell but the ancient nasal flashbacks (like 40 years ago) it encites in my brain.

http://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g2...Sauvage_lg.jpg

I never wear it anymore but I have a bottle of Canoe which yanks me back to 7th & 8th grade and feeling Christine softly pressing against me as we danced. I coulda married her but she dumped me, though the smell only brings back the positive. English Leather also brings back teenage memories.

My two teenage boys 14 & 13 use way more smelly stuff than I ever did. If they go out to play basketball or ride their longboards or even for no reason, they mist up with one of their current favorites and then that wafts around the house...I've had to enforce limited application zones so they don't kill our fish and turtle with noxious chemicals. Last weekend my younger boy got some of Diesel's latest "Only the Brave" in that weird brass knuckle bottle.

I can't believe I'm the only Lacoste user so far.

Ooh - I got a tester of this awhile back, and liked it quite a lot. Maybe I'll have to get a bottle sometime.
