How much would you pay to get rid of unwanted hair?

Have you ever paid to get it professionally removed? Was it the permanent kind or not permanent?

TRIA Beauty TRIA - Personal Laser Hair Removal System

The FDA approved this at home laser device last May, and while I can't really justify spending $995 on it right now,I would like to do it myself and be done with it after a few months. This device seems perfect for what I want to do. I wouldn't do most areas, but just in places where if I don't remove it for a month, I would feel weird showing them at the beach or to a girl (abs, lower back, other parts). And it seems a lot better than having to make appointments and have someone else do this.

Is this taking the lazy way out since shaving works (although takes 30 minutes and needs to be done a few times a month), but doesn't cost very much?

Hmm..interesting. I am hairy like animal. But I never really thought about it too much. Well, except once when I considered using Epilady or Nair on my beard and facial hair. Luckily I didn't go through with it.

I don't know if it's any different, but this is cheaper. :D

EpilaLaserHairRemover.com - Epila Product Overview

Hmm,

anybody have any experience with this epila thing?

The price is right and I need one on doctor's orders :)

The Epila's reviews that I found aren't as good and it's not approved by the FDA, so I'm not sure it will work.

The price is right though.

Asu: quite yeah.

But I don't value 'anonymous' replies as much, even thought I guess you could say replies here would amount to pretty much the same thing. (guess I'm weird :) )

Sometimes you have to take reviews with a grain of salt. Some people won't read the directions and some think it's going to work like a razor.

Who knows? :p

Hey, Nisses ... maybe call your doctor to see if they know anything about it. If it's doctor's orders, maybe your medical insurance will cover the $1K laser.

User Epila at your own risk. Try accessing their Privacy or Disclaimer pages... both are 404 not found. Read their Terms & Conditions carefully. It's definately not written with the consumer in mind. I contacted them for more infomation on both the Privacy and Disclaimer and they never responded, great customer service.

You get what you pay for.
