...someone whose legal wife/husband is in a hospital with either no hope of recovery, or dying?

Personally, I don't know. If it just happened, if love just happened, I might.

You can say you wouldn't but what if it was true love? What if you knew with all your being that he/she was the one?

Would you really deny yourself that because his current wife/husband was in the hospital and would never ever recover?

Would it be fair to either of you to say no to what could just very well be the love of your lives?

Guess that would depend on how long they had been in the hospital. If they had been dying from something slow over the past few years, yeah probably. If they just got admitted last week, no.

I'm so old fashioned I'd still honor the whole "till death do us part" deal. If my wife was in the hospital dying I'd be there, with her, until I couldn't be anymore...
