Moving! Minnesota to California.
I would like some advice if anyone has a similar experience or knowledge with relocating.
Currently I live in Minneapolis, MN. I am trying to find a job in the Bay Area. I've sent out resumes abound but not had much (ok, any) response. I'm not trying to find someone to move me out to California I would just like a job by the time I get out there. Also, finding a job would facilitate the move much more quickly. Should I be putting a CA address on my applications? I'm afraid that my MN address is scaring people off. Also would it be much easier to move first and then find a job? I guess I'm just looking for any tips people might have about relocation. Any and all help is appreciated... Thank you!

if you already have a California residence set in stone, I would go ahead and put it on the resume. It's not like they are going to mail you anything without telling you first.
As far as relocating, I don't really have any good experience. The best I have done is move an entire room in a rental van (not truck) 80 miles in one day!

Risk and Return man. Roll the dice and believe in yourself that you can make it happen when you get out here. It will make you feel more alive and be something you remember your entire life.
