My 2 new kittens!(help me choose names)
Hey everyone I got some cats this past weekend! GG was in town so she being my resident cat expert I figured I should take advantage of her knowledge and we came back with 2 awesome little kittens!
its really fun watching them chase each other around the apartment they'll even hide behind the doors to pounce on each other, its awesome. I havnt named them yet, but have been calling the boy red (he's reddish orange) and the little girl Grey ( I wonder why) they are about 4.5 months old, and need to be fixed ASAP... but the humane society hadnt done it yet. They had said it wouldn't be a problem getting it done there when I was adopting them. then I called them today and they say they are booked untill December! and they were supposed to do it for free! If I didnt have my aunt (shes a vet) nearby to do it for the cost of meds I would be really pissed. anyways, here are the pics, and I want name suggestions!

They are adorable. Quincy and Moose. Then they'll not be able to help being really cool cats.

With their respective orange and black coloring, perhaps something with a Halloween or fall theme? I'm drawing a blank on any specific ideas though. Pumpkin and Pan (people might dress up as him, or at least the trickster nature fits Halloween ) or something. Or since they seem to be such a well matched pair how about Romulus and Remus? Hmmm, on second thought, don't take naming advice from me.

Hekyll and Jekyll? J/K. They have such similar markings that I'm assuming they're brother and sister (that and their age), such cute kitters. Your boy looks so much like a kitty we had many years ago that we named "Spice" because of her coloring, but that doesn't quite seem to fit for a Tom.
For your "Red", I suggest Butterscotch, "Butters" for short (yes, Southpark fan here!). For your "Grey", I suggest Dutchess. One of our girls we had to euthanize a few years ago was "Dutchess" (weirdly, she looked exactly like Dutchess in the movie "Babe"). Grey seems ladylike in the pic's, I love the one with Red laying on her where her little paws are tucked into her chest.. I think calling "Butter's and Dutch" for your fur babies sounds like a cool pairing of names. Alternately, "Bubble and Squeak"?

We have a horrible time naming pets. Quincy walked around for a few weeks without a name. We got the name from a place we always went to when we dated.
We just got 2 new kittens today too. We named them Penelope the Pirate (she has one black leg and a black patch on her eye) and Zoe the Ninja (she's very stealthy and sneaky). JJ picked penelope because of alliteration and I picked Zoe because I love that name, but would never name my kid that. I have too many other names for that. Just look for a characteristic or a trait and go with it. And Fredweena is right Quincy and Moose would automatically make them cool cats. Quincy was orange and white and was the coolest cat. Then you have TFP tribute to beloved pets.

Actually, Kit and Kat is kind of cute. I recommend: I think StellaLuna's Fraggle naming is better than anything I could come up with though. :-)

I love me some Fraggle Rock.... by the by, I had a pair fish I called Philo and Gunge and later on a dog named Doozer.
I kind of like the idea of naming them after things celestial, something like Sol and Luna or maybe after a planet and its moons (especially if one seems to hover around the other). Although, truth be told, I'd probably go the lazy route and simply name them Frick and Frack.

I'm not a big fan of naming my pets names like "Fluffy." I have a cat and I named her Magnolia, we call her Maggie for short.
Anyways, I think Red is really cute for the boy, but I also like names like Bentley, Jack, Asher, Oliver, Harvey, and Finley (My fishies name). I love the name Lucy for a girl kitty. I also like Ruby, Minerva, Sophia and Belle. Oh and adorable cats! Last edited by Jenna; 09-13-2007 at 01:06 PM.. Reason: Automerged Doublepost |

you should name them "hey, quit it" and "stop that" or some such variation, cause that is what you are gonna be saying to them mostly....but really, "snuggles mcfuzz" for one of them is hard to beat....
