Some suggestions are needed...
Hey. Yeah so I have some kind of issue and I was seeking some suggestions.
Alright, so I'm a 19 year old student that attends an art college in San Francisco. Let's just say life has been kind of "quiet" for me. I don't live at my college. I actually commute there. And most of my friends have moved elsewhere to attend their respective colleges. School is out for now, but the new semester starts in about a week for me. Now...here's the thing I wanted some advice for. At first, I didn't even want to make a thread about this, thinking I could deal with it on my own, but I want to be sure. Okay, so there's this pretty Korean girl that was in a class of mine that I met about a year ago. She's 4 years older than me. I didn't talk to her that much when I met her, but during the middle of the semester a year ago we just talked every now and then. We had a conversation where I learned a little bit about what she's been doing, why she went to this college, etc. You know, just small talk. So a year passed, and up until several days ago, I hadn't really heard from her or seen her around school. I was looking on my Facebook (a networking program that connects friends) and just out of curiosity, I looked to see who had the same birthday as me that attends my college. Strange, but she happened to have the same birthday as I do. So then I asked her to be my friend on Facebook and she accepted and we had a few nice conversations. Here they are: Me Quote:

first off, age has nothing to do with anything, it's irrelevant.
um....it seems pretty straight forward. she is a girl, you are attracted to her. usually the next step is trying to somehow "date" her. it's not pathetic or desperate, thats what people do every day. maybe she only wants to be freinds, but maybe something might come of it. you are already past the biggest hurlde, which is getting the girl to talk to you. ask her out on a freindly date and see how that goes. the only deal breaker is if it's a long distance relationship, they never work unless you are together for a while and solidify the bond before hand.

nothing wrong with saying "hey, if you arent doing anything *X* night, I was thinking of *insert activity that is benign like going to movies*, you dont happen to want to come along do ya?"
worst she will say is "oh i'd like to, but ive got *activity* already..." and you say ""cool, no prob. eh.. im gonna be late for class. see ya around sometime" and take off Last edited by Midnight; 08-30-2007 at 07:53 PM.. |
