My smile and ability to catch everyone off guard with my humor. Or so I hear. People for some reason also find me to be an empathetic listener. Though less so recently if I don't like the person or it's not for work.
Someone at work also noticed and commented that I looked like I was getting "firmer". Woo hoo!!!

My smile...which confuses me because I have teeth that can't decide in which direction they want to go...and my humor. I'm always being told what a 'riot' I am, should try stand-up, etc. Yeah...whatevah. The bod gets'em too, as do my eyes. Like Fredweena, I'm told a lot how well I 'understand' and empathize with whoever's confiding in me at the moment( I seem to attract 'secrets').

Physically, my hair and my rear end (!).
Otherwise, my sense of humor, my vocabulary, and my "strength". That's all I can make up...I mean think up just now.

Otherwise, I get complimented on my photography, writing, travel planning, and my ability to speak more than one language (which is also funny, because I never feel confident about that). People also seem to think I'm very cheerful and positive, another funny thing, since I often feel moody as hell and overly critical. But, whatever. I'll agree that I have a nice smile.

My sense of perfectionism and completeness. I can turn these on/off to suit the task at hand, but everyone seems to notice when I have them on.
Also the fact that I will work my ass off to accomplish the above has gotten me a lot of respect at my place of employment. We'll see just how big a compliment I get in the form of a raise after my 90 day review.....

Physically, it's almost always my eyes. I've been told that they "make girls melt."
I also occasionally get compliments on my sense of style, which surprises me not in the least. After all, I do frequently say that whatever you do, you should do it with style.

Looks-wise, my chest. I have tits and ass like you wouldn't believe. The great thing is--I've lost 40 pounds but my chest size hasn't changed, so my boobs look bigger than ever. I didn't think it was possible.
Personality-wise, my sense of humor and my strength. Though E. frequently doesn't get my jokes, and contends I'm not funny because of it...I contend he has a slow wit. Skills-wise, I regularly get compliments on my intelligence, my writing, my cooking, and my super-sized knowledge base (thanks to my prodigious memory). It took me quite a while to come up with these...sometimes it's good to remember what other people like about you.

The last thing I got complimented on was my tattoo.
I don't know, I guess my eyes and legs. I've been told that I'm a risk taker. My knack of picking out bad movies and making them enjoyable has been commented on. Also, my cooking has gotten many compliments when I was doing some catering projects or just entertaining friends. I don't get many random compliments. They usually throw me off guard and I don't know how to react so that's fine with me.

I get a lot of comments on the color of my hair, but since that's genetic, I can take no credit! Otherwise? I dunno. My patience, my memory, and my ability to take criticism are all things my boss comments on. Which is the funniest shit I have ever heard... because anyone in any other aspect of my life would definitely disagree!
Hm. Oh, I will do a LOT to help the people around me, if I like them or I don't, it doesn't matter. So others comment on that. That's nice to hear.

What's interesting is, I think most of us are uncomfortable saying what we get complimented on, so we're keeping our lists kind of short or not responding. We feel like we're bragging, maybe...plus, I know when I get complimented, the brain starts thinking about why it's wrong while the mouth utters a "thank you". Quote:

I have absolutely no idea how to take a compliment. The entire response is usually me awkwardly looking away and mumbling thanks mid-shrug. If I'm feeling especially confident, I'll throw a compliment back they're direction. It never quite feels sincere even if it is and the whole thing just somes off a bit weird. Not that I get too many compliments, right?
Physically, they're mostly about my hair, which is a bit strange. Every once in a while, I'll get one concerning my eyes, which is also odd as they're just an ordinary brown. I'm the go-to guy so, I get complimented at work a lot. That and because I "get shit done" if I may paraphrase a past employer. It seems that's an admirable trait in the workplace these days.
