colonix
I used colonix a few weeks ago and was happy with the results. I felt my bowels were healthier and that it was truly cleaning my insides. my digestion seemed more frequent and better. all in all, i was happy with the product. my only problem now is that since ive been off of it, my bowel movements arent consistent. prior to the colonix, i was regular on a daily basis. i was using the product for 4 weeks, a drink in the morning with a couple pills, and a teabag at night, every day for 4 weeks. my bowels were consistent at twice a day.
I was hoping to get some input regarding this problem, or any similar situations. im not sure if i should take a fiber supplement to help me, or if it just takes awhile to get back into a routine. for a little background, im 26 and healthy, i tried colonix because i felt a good cleansing would be beneficial. |

How much fiber are you getting? 25g-30g is recommended. I have IBS so it's important for me to get the daily requirement, I eat Fiber Choice tablets, FiberOne bars (actually VERY good, chocolate granola bar) and try to eat a bowl or two of raisin bran daily.

Despite the addition of increased fiber to my diet (25g daily, at least), I still sometimes get this feeling like I have an alien baby stuck in my abdomen, and end up with an IBS flare-up.
I looked at Colonix but decided it was out of my price range. Instead, I purchased a 15-day cleanse from Nature's Way (since I have used their other supplements with success, I figured they were a good bet), and started it today. Hopefully it will get rid of my alien baby, and help with my flare-ups. From what I've read about colon cleansing products, it seems to help people with acid reflux and IBS, and I have both. I'm not hoping for a miracle, I'm just hoping that it will clear my system out and I'll be able to reach some kind of normalcy with my digestive system. We'll see. As for you, jfelco, I agree with kevpdx--see how much fiber you're getting, and if it's not enough, add a supplement. I really like Citrucel--the capsules, not the powder--and I eat Optimum Slim cereal, which is almost half of your daily fiber needs in one 3/4 cup serving.
