Or...
Maybe the bed is mostly for sleeping. Sex does not necessarily have to be done in bed nor right before going to sleep. Maybe they opt for the spontaneous, fuck where you are at the moment. That's my preference anyway. When I go to bed, I'm tired and want to sleep.

I don't quite see the 2 separate beds equating to no or little sex. I'm sure some people with one bed, one cover don't get much action.

Shesus: I can completely empathize. My earlist dream memory was from when I was near 4 yrs. old. I was seeing a witch mobile in the corner of my bedroom and I couldn't move (paralyzed) and screamed forever for my parents. In reality, I was wrapped up in my blankets (like SiN's burrito analogy) on the floor and had screamed myself hoarse by the time I woke up. I guess my parents were sound sleepers back then. Funny how our physical body can infiltrate our minds while dreaming.

Abaya: I stand chastised, I did forget to vote, I'll fix that right away.

Edit: Oops, apparently I did vote, I must've picked the wrong choice and can't vote again. Drats...

One Bed, Two sængs. (sp?)

We bought them from Dún og fiður It is the best thing we've ever purchased. It's just the right size and weight to use year round. The only thing that sucks is having to purchase linens we have to go to Iceland to get them. For cheap ones at Rúmfatalagerinn or Hagkaup. Hagkaup has nicer selection but the best set I don't really know where it came from, but our friends from Akureyri gave it to us. It's as nice as any good linen you'd find in America with wonderful damask stripes.

We paid alot for our sængs at that store, but supposedly Icelanders keep them for a lifetime. We've had them for over 3 years or so and they are as fluffy as the day we bought them. Unlike the American down comforters with their box baffles and such, I have never had a comforter that rocks like these do.

As we travelled in Europe on our honeymoon, we never encountered any large beds, always two twins side by side.

We had a wonderful queen size comforter for many years sleeping together. But I can say since we got the sængs, it's even better because sometimes I get up in the middle of the night or early in the morning, and there isn't a cold draft to give to the other person when you exit the bed.

One extra large queen size bed with blankets to match.

Why use to blankets??

The gf and I usually end up in each others arms most of the night. Body heat

One bed. Although she's always cold, and I'm always warm. And we don't seem to sleep at the same time (she works 2nd shift, I work 1st). Maybe things would go better with two separate rooms.

1 king size bed, 1 comforter....
Although in the winter I do get an extra comforter and throw it over on top of the other my side...I'm always cold...Alpha always too warm
Half the time he falls asleep watching tv in the living room anyways so I can cover hog all I want.

Sometimes I think both of us sleep sounder by ourselves. Could be because he worked 3rd shift for so many years and we are just used to sleeping that way?

I remember always thinking it weird that my grandparents had two seperate beds on opposite sides of the room. He also had a bed in the basement he'd sleep on sometimes.

I also worked with a gal that her and her husband had two seperate bedrooms. I guess it's not all that uncommon?

Why aren't "Dogs and Cats" listed on the bed / linens options? They count!

I've always got some critters lounging with me during the witching hour... often flopping all over myself and my mate.

One queen sized bed, two comforters(we both have different preferences for material type), and 6 pillows (don't ask!) We both have trouble snuggling while we sleep, I tend to put off a lot of heat, and she likes to be cooler.

Right now, two beds in two apartments. Hahaha... he is in another country to work for one more month! But when we visit each other (our work/university cities are different when we are both in Canada), we sleep in the same bed. But it is quite uncomfortable. I have a single bed and he has a twin bed.
